Overview

MTB Custom Coach is a Telegram bot that connects to your Strava account to provide AI-powered cycling coaching. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

When you use the bot, we collect and store:

• Your Telegram chat ID and name (provided during setup)
• Your FTP (Functional Threshold Power) and body weight (provided during setup)
• Your Strava OAuth tokens (to read your activity data on your behalf)
• Your Strava activity data — distances, power, heart rate, duration, dates
• Your AI usage — token counts and cost estimates for quota management

We do not collect passwords, payment details, or any data beyond what is listed above.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Analyze your cycling activities and provide coaching feedback
• Generate training plans tailored to your fitness level
• Track AI usage for fair-use quota management

Your data is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

This bot integrates with:

• Strava — to read your activity data
• Telegram — to deliver messages. Governed by Telegram's Privacy Policy
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — to generate coaching responses. Your activity data is sent to Anthropic's API to produce coaching feedback. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy

Data Storage

Your data is stored on a private server. Strava tokens and activity data are stored locally and are not transmitted to any party other than those listed in Section 4.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting the admin via Telegram.

Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of your stored data
• Deletion — request your data be permanently deleted
• Revoke access — disconnect MTB at any time via your MTB account settings
